Volunteers
Many talented people come together every year to the make the Squamish Triathlon a success. The event requires course marshals, lifeguards, kayak and paddleboard rescue personnel, first aid attendants, drivers, food servers, aid station attendants, planners, course setters and more.
Every volunteer gets:
- An event t-shirt
- Coffee the morning of the race
- Baked goods from Nesters Market
- An invitation to the volunteer party
- The satisfaction of contributing to the community
If you want to help out, please send a note to volunteers@squamshtriathlon.org with your name, phone number and t-shirt size. Our volunteer coordinator will work with you to determine how you can contribute to the race.
Here’s what some of our volunteers say about being part of the Squamish Triathlon:
“Our whole family comes out and helps direct runners along the course. We want our children to understand what it means to contribute to good causes and participate in a community. Many athletes acknowledge us and thank us for helping with the race.” –Jody
“The Squamish Triathlon does so much for the community. The party for the volunteers is always lots of fun and the prizes are great.” –John
“The Bob McIntosh Scholarships that are given out each year mean the volunteers are supporting higher education while creating a sporting event that promotes healthy living and athleticism. I love helping at the triathlon every year.” –Lee
